The Pretty Committee
Welcome to Westchester. Home to the people that are already part of the elite side of life but also home to those that are dying to join it. The most important thing to know about this place is that the way people perceive you and the way they treat you all depends on one thing: where you stand on the social ladder. A place almost like something from Fitzgerald or Thackeray. Teenagers acting like adults. Adults acting like teenagers, guarding secrets, writing gossip all with the trappings of truly opulent wealth. And membership in this community is so elite, you couldn’t even buy your way in. It’s a birthright.
In a place full of lies and scandals like this, there has to be someone to rule it all, perhaps more specifically, someones. The Pretty Committee, shortened to TCP or the PC, prides themselves on having the hottest fashion, latest gossip and cutest boyfriends. They can steal your boyfriends faster than you can say “Ehmagawd!” and everyone wants in on their famous Friday Night Sleepovers. From high school hallways to internationally known, the Pretty Committee have never failed at succeeding each with their own individual qualities and skills. But don’t start applying for your spot just yet, because remember —
“The only thing harder than getting in, is staying in.”
Perfect hair, the latest designer styles, and new arm candy everyday. That’s the life MASSIE BLOCK lives. After a surprise return from across the pond, she’s back at ruling every square inch at Westchester Preparatory School, but not everyone is so loyal and excited about her return. Ruler of the social scene of Westchester Preparatory School, president of student council, leader of multiple charity clubs, and award winning horseback rider, Massie knows you’d give anything to be her, because from the external view, her life seems perfect. But you and I know it’s just the opposite.
Every school has that one girl. The girl who can get any guy she wants, go to parties every night and dresses out of dress code and not get punished. That girl is ALICIA RIVERA, aka the epitome of every boy’s dream. Currently, she is the anchorwoman for the school’s weekly news program, editor of Westchester Prep’s online blog (The Review) and reads announcements daily via the school’s intercom system. With pure Spanish blood (despite certain rumors) running through her veins, it’s no wonder she’s Massie’s second in command since the 6th grade. But you know what they say: Nothing stays forever. Especially when Leesh has been dying to get a spot as alpha since day one.
KRISTEN GREGORY is hardworking, temperamental and very optioned, and in the eyes of the student body, she’s everything they want to be. With a perfect GPA, AP classes and stellar PSAT scores, how could you not? Add varsity soccer team captain to her ever growing list of achievements. But all this comes with a price, for she has her own secrets. Many which include her motivation for that perfect grade comes from the fact she’s on a scholarship at Westchester Prep. Whoops?
This feisty red-head spends her time sucking down her Atkins diet smoothies and sucking up to Massie. Everyone has insecurities and if you look past DYLAN MARVIL‘s, you see a hilarious girl who’s eager to make her friends laugh. With her mom being the famous Merri-Lee Marvil, talk-show host of The Daily Grind, it’s no wonder Dylan’s an A-List and has over 2.4k followers on instagram, she’s practically American royalty. She just wishes she could make her own name for herself, instead of living as “one of the Marvil triplets”.
She may have moved from Kissamee, Florida almost five years ago, but to the eyes of Westchester, CLAIRE LYONS‘ is still the new girl. With a camera in hand and a pack of sour gummy worms in the other, she’s the sweetest girl you know. She’s editor of the yearbook, leader of the art club and still with her middle school sweet heart: Cam Fisher. Despite her parents low bank account, she’s been an official member of the PC for a year now, but is that enough to secure a spot for good?
